In front of the majestic Freixo Palace, we reverse course and head towards the open Atlantic. We pass through the Douro Ecological Reserve and the mouth of the Douro, entering the ocean where you can admire the beaches of Gaia and Porto and the cruise terminal in Matosinhos — a breathtaking panorama few visitors ever see from the water.
